Government and council paper surveys

Paper gives residents who do not respond online another way to take part. One supplier can manage every step from the printed form to the data file.

What you need from a paper-mode partner

Add a paper option. A paper mode alongside your online survey widens who you hear from. The letter can carry a QR code and short link to the online version, while the form travels in the same envelope with a Reply Paid return so residents can choose.

Scale under one supplier. Our largest single mail-out was 75,000 forms. Design, print, personalisation, lodgement with Australia Post, Reply Paid receipt, scanning, keying and delivery happen under one quote and one point of accountability. Printing is done in Australia and survey processing is handled in Australia.

How the loop applies

Send us the questions and your branding. The form is set to Scantron specification, proofed back to you and printed in Australia. It can be personalised with respondent IDs, names, addresses, barcodes and QR codes as required. Mail is lodged through Australia Post, with PreSort and barcoding used where appropriate. Returns are logged as they arrive and can be reported daily or weekly as completed, undeliverable and outstanding. Reminder waves can exclude completed paper returns, online completions and undeliverables. Data is delivered as Excel or CSV with agreed column names and values, and each returned paper form can be supplied as an individual PDF linked from its data row.

Return counts during fieldwork are yours to forward. If you need respondent IDs behind those counts, we can supply them so your team can match them against its sample frame.
