Survey printing and personalisation

Your approved form is printed to the specification it was designed for. It can also be personalised so each copy carries the information needed for that respondent or site.

What we do. Forms are printed in Australia through our print partners, to the scanning specification. Cover letters, Reply Paid envelopes and outer envelopes are printed alongside, so the whole pack is ready to assemble.

Colour. Every scannable form is printed in at least two colours: black for the text, and a red-spectrum dropout colour around the response areas. The scanner is built to ignore the dropout colour, so it sees the respondent's mark and not the printed box. Full colour usually costs no more than two, so your logo, headings and branding can carry through the form without affecting the scan.

Formats and stock.

• A4 single sheets, one or two sides
• Saddle-stitched booklets, 4 to 36 pages
• Standard or recycled stock, with recycled stock available on request

Personalisation. Each form can be individualised as it's printed:

• Respondent ID, printed as digits and as a barcode
• Lithocode or sequential form number
• QR code to your online survey for mixed-mode collection, or carrying the respondent ID
• Name and address positioned for a window envelope, so the form and the letter travel together without a separate label
• Pre-filled fields such as site, school, ward, class or wave, so information that should already be known is not left blank or filled incorrectly

Guarantee. If a form we printed fails to scan because of a print defect, we replace it or capture the data another way, at no cost to you.
